Flat Head Syndrome
Lodge Randolph No.776 was recently asked if they could find a way to support a young child in Leven who at eight months was suffering from a condition know as Flat Head Syndrome. Flat head syndrome is the name given to the condition when part of a baby's head becomes flattened due to continued pressure on one spot. ... Its most common form is 'positional plagiocephaly', which happens when a baby's head develops a flat area due to continued pressure on one side of their head.
In response to this plea for help the Lodge Secretary contacted the Provincial Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross and asked for permission to circulate letters to the Lodges in the province asking for help to raise funds.
Not only did Provincial Grand Lodge grant permission but they also made a donation as did many of the Lodges and individuals with the total being donated to the family reaching £2,315.00.
